AI Research Engineer - Internship

Contilio is a cutting-edge and fast growing deeptech startup based out of London, UK. We use 3D AI to build the first intelligent control room for the $12Trn construction industry and enable real-time payments. Our AI platform turns site data such as massive point clouds into real-time insights on construction progress, quality and performance KPIs and helps deliver major construction projects (such as hospitals) faster and at lower cost. Our predictive intelligence empowers stakeholders to eliminate problems & risks before turning into costly issues, wasting trillions in dollars. We are building the global category leader to shape the future of 3D semantic understanding for applications in construction, manufacturing, etc.

We are currently working on super interesting parts of our technology together with our research partners, Imperial College London, and would like to add a bright, driven, and impactful BSc/MS research intern to the team. As an AI Research Intern, you will work as a part of Contilio’s world-class tech team, and collaborate with our research partners to advance Contilio’s 3D AI platform through application of cutting edge technologies (e.g computer vision and deep learning).

This role is for 6 months, and there is opportunity for a full-time position (3D vision/Deep learning) after you successfully complete this rotation, with an attractive base salary and equity.

Overview of the role

What you will be doing:

  • Structuring and annotating 3D/2D data, semi-automatically
  • Assisting with evaluation, training  optimization of state-of-the-art ML/DL neural networks
  • Contributing to evaluating other data collection methodologies 
  • Working with the Contilio tech team and our research partners to translate state of the art research into cutting-edge technologies and products that wow our customers.

 Technical skills we’d love to see:

  • BSc or MSc. in computer vision, robotics, computer science, or related fields
  • Good grasp of deep learning and computer vision fundamentals
  • Familiarity with open-source libraries and deep learning frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Linux
  • Understanding of data architectures and analysis
  • Experience building and scaling production quality code and algorithms
