Digital Engineer, Mid-Level

Contilio is a cutting-edge, fast-growing and venture-backed construction tech company headquartered in London England. We use 3D AI (the type used in robotics and autonomous driving) to build the first intelligent control room for the $12Trn construction industry and enable real-time payments. Our 3D AI platform provides actionable intelligence from 3D data collected from construction sites, fully automating construction progress and installation quality processes while creating machine-readable and semantic digital twins that are connected to BIMs. Our predictive intelligence empowers stakeholders to eliminate problems & risks before turning into costly issues and wasting trillions in dollars. We are looking to add a smart, motivated and skilful Digital Engineer to our amazing team. As a Digital Engineer, you will be operating at the intersection of tech, product and data teams to build the next version of Contilio’s cutting-edge AI platform. You will create quality metrics, ensure data is high-quality and structured properly and work to improve operational processes related to data labeling, QC and customer project delivery.

Data labelling, database and data processes

  • Responsible for defining and maintaining the data processes and Contilio’s 3D database 
  • Annotate 2D and 3D data for use in Contilio’s 3D AI algorithms and assist with operationalizing scalable approaches
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the tech team to systematically assess the AI outcomes and develop methodologies to improve accuracy and automation.

Project delivery and quality control (QC)

  • Prepare input assets for use by the Contilio software during pre-processing steps
  • Prepare and verify outputs including tables, 3D models and dashboard insights 
  • Manage structured reporting, issue logs and process documentation for further automation 

Mid-term responsibilities

  • Own company’s QC and data annotation processes
  • Train new team joiners on QC and data
  • liaise with and manage customers, surveyors, data labelling co’s as far as data is concerned 

Required Skills

  • 3+ yrs in construction/engineering, graphic design/production or in operations/ project delivery
  • Ability to work with and analyse 2D/3D data (images, point clouds, BIM, CAD, etc.) 
  • Proficient in data analytics and MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous problems through structured thinking 
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure and collaboratively 

Any of the following is a plus

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups 
  • Experience with BIM, AutoCAD, Scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project), or data labelling tools
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL or Jupyter
  • Understanding of construction planning and/or project controls tools 

You must have UK work authorization and will be working remotely until Corona risks are lower.
